Terms of service

These terms describe the use of Folioword, operated by Omega Book World at folio.omegabookworld.com. Please read them together with our privacy policy. For questions, contact info@omegabookworld.com.

The service

Folioword provides tools for importing Word documents, formatting books, theses and journals, editing text and covers, reviewing spelling and punctuation, and exporting publication files. Optional AI tools suggest changes for your review when an offline model is available on the Folioword server. Features may vary between local and hosted installations.

Your account and responsible use

Provide accurate account details, protect your password and sign out on shared devices. Use the service only for content you own or have permission to process. Do not infringe others' rights, upload unlawful content, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access or misuse other customers' accounts. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security issues or legal obligations.

Your work belongs to you

You retain ownership of your manuscripts, covers and other original material. Using Folioword does not transfer your copyright or grant Omega publishing rights. You authorize the processing needed to carry out your requested editing, storage, authentication and optional AI actions as described in the privacy policy. You are responsible for permission to use fonts, illustrations, quotations, logos and other third-party content in your publication.

Review and backups

Keep independent backups of original manuscripts and downloaded projects. Browser recovery is a convenience and can be lost when site data is cleared or devices change. Review the complete publication and exported files before printing, submission or distribution. Check text, references, notes, page flow, image quality, accessibility and your printer's or ebook distributor's requirements. Automated formatting, corrections and AI suggestions can contain mistakes and are not a guarantee of factual accuracy, academic compliance or publication acceptance.

Publishing with Omega

Choosing “Publish with Omega” currently applies an Omega Standard theme requirement. It does not submit your manuscript, accept it for publication, create a publishing contract or purchase a publishing service. Omega Standard specifications are provisional until the relevant reference styles are finalized. Publication services, rights, schedules and charges require a separate agreement with Omega Book World.

Charges and availability

The seven-day trial allows publication exports for projects of ten pages or fewer. Longer manuscripts remain editable, with publication exports locked until upgrade. Full publication exports require an Author, Designer or Publisher subscription, including all publication formats. Editing and downloadable project backups remain available after trial expiry. Word and reflowable EPUB can paginate differently from the preview. Monthly prices are shown on the pricing page and verified against the Razorpay plan before checkout. A trial does not require payment details or automatically create a paid subscription. Paid subscriptions are recurring; review the amount and payment schedule in Razorpay before authorizing payment. Contact info@omegabookworld.com for subscription cancellation or billing assistance. A formatting subscription is separate from publishing services. Availability depends on the installation, hosting and device resources. Features may be maintained, changed or discontinued; retain copies of work you need.

Service limitations

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the tools are provided as available without a promise that every result will be error-free or meet every production requirement. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, remedies or liabilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Leaving the service and changes

You can stop using Folioword at any time. For account deletion or support, contact info@omegabookworld.com. Save your projects first; account deletion does not automatically erase files or browser storage on your devices. Updated terms will show a revised date. Contact us if you need clarification about a change.

Role plans and checkout

Author, Designer and Publisher subscriptions include Book, Thesis, Journal and Thesis to Book tools. The seven-day trial allows publication exports for projects of ten pages or fewer. Longer projects remain editable, with publication export locked until upgrade. Full editable recovery backups remain available after trial expiry. Monthly prices are 20% below the listed monthly price; annual prices are 30% below twelve listed monthly payments. Discounts are not stacked. Review the exact amount, currency and interval before payment.

Live checkout is available after the operator configures matching Razorpay plans. Access requires verified paid status. Upgrades and downgrades are scheduled for the next billing cycle without an immediate proration request. Cancelling renewal retains paid access through its verified expiry. Existing subscriptions retain their agreed prices; cancel overlapping renewals before buying another plan. Razorpay handles payment details. Manuscripts are not sent to Razorpay. Official GST tax invoices require approved tax configuration.

Private proofreading and project ZIPs

Cloud project versions are compressed Word project ZIPs, including editable design data and original import content snapshots for comparison and reliable restoration. Snapshots are limited to 10 MB compressed and 40 MB expanded; current account storage is 100 MB. Paid Word downloads include a combined DOCX and separate chapter DOCX files. Trial and expired-account recovery ZIPs preserve the full project but do not grant unrestricted DOCX export.

When an owner assigns a proofreader, Folioword stores a private review snapshot and shares it only with the signed-in account matching the assigned email address. No automatic invitation email is sent. Suggested wording and comments are stored on the server. Only the owner can accept a correction into a new cloud version; open local drafts are not replaced automatically. Owners can revoke access, which clears the stored review snapshot and suggestions. Separate EPUB conversion

New plans charge ₹99 per project for EPUB conversion, separately from subscription charges. There is no free monthly EPUB allowance. Repeat exports of the same paid project are included. This conversion does not remove the ten-page trial limit or replace a subscription. Existing subscription inclusions are preserved. Payment takes place on a hosted Razorpay page; no manuscript text is sent to Razorpay. We store the anonymous project reference, provider payment reference, amount and unlock status. Payment is verified as captured before access is granted, and refunded payments do not retain their paid conversion grant. A failed local generation can be retried for the same paid project without another conversion charge.
